The Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (Acas) has published three guides, aimed at employers and employees, on ensuring equality of treatment in the workplace. These are:
- Equality and discrimination: understand the basics. This outlines what employers and employees and their representatives need to know in order to comply with the Equality Act 2010;
- Prevent discrimination: support equality. This explains where discrimination is most likely to occur and how to stop it happening; and
- Discrimination: what to do if it happens. This contains step-by-step guidance on how an employee should raise a complaint of discrimination and how an employer should handle it.
