When employees leave, it isn’t just your biros they take!
According to a recent report by IT security company SailPoint, customer data is the most frequently stolen item when employees leave a company, with more than 20 per cent of employees indicating a willingness to misappropriate customer contact information and data when they leave.
The report highlights the necessity to have robust data protection policies and also to make sure that employee departures are carefully managed.
