Sales promotions: updated guidance published

The Committee of Advertising Practice has published updated guidance on terms and conditions in sales promotions. The guidance has been updated to include examples of recent Advertising Standards Authority adjudications, and in particular takes into account marketing over Twitter. It discusses significant terms and conditions which should be prominently displayed in the initial marketing communication before or at the time of purchase or entry, and those terms and conditions which can be set out elsewhere provided they are easily accessible to the consumer.
